Some fascinating info in this presentation. After finishing it, I am in awe of how little we understand about this world we live in. The research that was cited is incredible, but we’re just scratching the surface. Just imagine what we’ll understand about animals in 50-100 years!

The author George Bernard Shaw said, “The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable man persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man.”

I think that sums up Sapolsky’s closing thoughts pretty well. What a marvelous idea that so much good can be drawn from seemingly irrational choices.
