Nice Frank! I’m interested for sure. Keep me posted.
I have been training with the animal stick for many years in the mountains after years of lifting and iron bar. One of the diverse benefits from gripping a animal stick with a grin is the tactile experience of wood and stone being integrated into movement. There is a primal body memory of gripping into tree limbs, and forming practical movements of strength and leverage with the animal sticks.
There is a big difference in gripping a iron bar and gripping hand crafted animal sticks, try it for yourself.
If you think this sounds like an advertisement to hook your attention, well you right. For it is our belief that if you begin to grip and grin with the sticks that we gather from the clear cuts and other destroyed forest. That you will begin to remember our primal connection, our prime animal connection to the last of the old growth, and will consider gripping and grinning with where the sticks came from, the branches of very old forest
Good points Mick. Thanks for your thoughts. I can imagine a run through the woods with the Animal Stick would awaken many primal memories! I look forward to getting my hands on one.
This animal stick looks great. I am going to make my own. To me, making stuff brings as many joys as using stuff, finding the wood and the right stone. Then there’s the process of figuring out how to put a hole in the rock, shape the wood etc. What’s more playful than that? I’m surprised you aren’t encouraging making your own.
As someone who often trains outdoors I can see the huge potential of the Aninal Stick – especially working out on varying terrains and objects. Really good for total body and those core muscles. I so like this and the playful nature of using it.
Hi,
The animal stick looks really neat. Is there a book that comes with it that shows a bunch of movements?
